PART 3

LITERARY WORKS REVIEW!!!
(is that even a thing hahaha)

Title:  "Alice In Wonderland"
Author :  Lewis Caroll
Year :  1865
Genre :  Novel

◾ ◽ ▪ ▫
WRITING STYLE :

Lewis Caroll's writing style was fantasy-themed and full of imagination. His work is very fictional and not like the mainstream stuff that we mostly see/read nowadays, so you wouldn't get bored. And through his writing you are able to use your minds to picture the scenes while reading his work.

◾ ◽ ▪ ▫
MEANING :

The meaning of  Alice in Wonderland, in my opinion, is that our imagination will take us to new worlds. Also our curiosity is the reason why we are suffering or why we are now prosperous, either of that might happen to us.

◾ ◽ ▪ ▫
POSITIVE  FEATURES :

The positive features of the said novel was the the determination of Alice on proving something, the truth, even though the one she's opposing is more powerful than her- the Queen of hearts. And in the end she survived the cruelty the rulers of the kingdom she's been to and leaves safely, which is great because evil never wins.

◾ ◽ ▪ ▫
NEGATIVE FEATURES:

If there are positive features, there's negative ones. First of all is there is some sort violence involved in the movie because the Queen is very cruel and some characters are kinda rude, while the other characters a sort of  annoying because of their attitudes.

◾ ◽ ▪ ▫
MESSAGE :

Even though this is fantasy-filled, you can learn here that we should trust only those who proved us that their trustworthy because others are just fooling around with you and they may cause you trouble or suffering. And you should stand up on the truth you believe in, even though no one else does.

◾ ◽ ▪ ▫
LESSON :

The lesson that we can get from "Alice In Wonderland" is that dreams can be real, if only you just believe that it's true. We should also be wise enough to know the decisions we make, so we wouldn't regret it later.

Title:  "A Series Of Unfortunate Events"
Author:  Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler)
Year:  1999
Genre:  Novel (Series)

◾ ◽ ▪ ▫
WRITING STYLE :

Lemony Snicket's writing style was about realism and sociological struggles of the characters within the novels. He probably exerted a lot of time and imagination in doing the series because the plot was unpredictable and mysterious, it kinda looks like one of those shows where the main character's goal is to escape death, in my opinion, so it also has this thrill factor while reading or watching it (because it already has a movie).

◾ ◽ ▪ ▫
MEANING :

The meaning of  "A Series Of Unfortunate Events" that sometimes that we think so much for the sake of ourselves we don't realize that the people around us are affected, in a negative way to be precise. It also means that even though we are the only ones left who agrees on something, we should believe it still... because when it's true then you're lucky because you know what's up. (Okaaay... to be honest I can't actually point out the meaning of the said novel)

◾ ◽ ▪ ▫
POSITIVE FEATURES :

I think the positive features of the said novel was the fact that the Baudelaire siblings we're able to outsmart their enemy- Count Olaf through all his schemes, and even though no one else believed their speculation that Count Olaf was a bad guy... they still stood up with their beliefs, that was actually true. One thing about this is that none of the siblings died or nothing actually major happened to them, aside from the loss of property and the fact that they're orphans, which means there's hope for them.
◾ ◽ ▪ ▫
NEGATIVE FEATURES :

Obviously this novel has negative stuff considering the fact that the antagonist almost killed the main characters ad will do anything just to get their wealth is such a bad thing to do. The other negative thing about this was that the Baudelaire orphans would have to go through all those miseries without anyone believing them, which is so heart breaking and apparently very unfortunate for them.
◾ ◽ ▪ ▫
MESSAGE :

The message of the story was probably about too much greed, selfishness, avarice, whatever you call it, because it obviously shows that the Count Olaf guy really wants to claim the money of the Baudelaire siblings in any possible way he could even if it affects them negatively. So it's a bad example for us, but we're wise enough to know what's right or wrong (nah just kidding... I know people makes mistakes) so most people may be inspired to do wrong or maybe not. Sorry i'm not psychic or anything so I definitely cannot read your minds.

◾ ◽ ▪ ▫
LESSON :

Despite of the excessive avarice/selfishness the antagonist possesses, which is a legitimately bad trait and a horrible sin, the novel shows that we definitely shouldn't be greedy because it will lead us to nowhere or to jail or something to be exact. And we should always remember that the bad guys never win against the good or innocent ones. Also even though everything seems negative in your life, there will always be something good and positive.
